I like these videos, however these theories are very old and do not correspond to today's work environments. Current workers already take for granted that hygiene conditions must be present in their jobs. They do not see hygiene as a motivating factor but as an obligation of organizations.

There is a fundamental flaw in the notion of an information and service-based economy. It does not take an economics expert to recognize it. A little common sense will do. The flaw has never been discussed openly, because our economic experts insist on ignoring the elephant in the room. Let me introduce you to that troublesome pachyderm: Information and services have no intrinsic value. None. Zero. Zilch. Nada… I cannot inform myself a plate of spaghetti or service myself a three-piece suit. Furthermore, I cannot cook spaghetti or tailor a suit for someone else without cloth or pasta. Information and services always support real material somewhere along the line. It is that simple. In an economic system that incorporates the abstract information and services with the concrete real material it produces, it is not an issue. In a global economy, however, it directly effects the standard of living of many people in the developed world. It does so because the value of real material determines the value of supporting services and information. For example, one does not spend ten thousand dollars on a tune-up for a five-thousand-dollar automobile, regardless of the skill of the technician, or the urgency of the need. If real material is controlled and produced in a country that discounts the material (for whatever reason and by whatever means), the related services and information provided by another country are also discounted. While this may be good news for CEOs and stockholders, it is bad news for wage earners in developed nations, regardless of what industry they are in. That’s why that shiny new service job or information service job pays so much less than the manufacturing job it replaced. It pays less even though it often requires a substantial investment of resources merely to qualify for the job at all... How is that student loan going? A person living in the developing world may be inclined to say ‘So What? Why should I care about the eroding lifestyle of ‘rich’ Americans?’ The answer is as simple as the problem. Those ‘rich’ Americans, Canadians, Europeans, and Australians are not rich at all. They are desperately hanging on to what is left of their middle-class existence. They are also the world’s most lucrative market and the world’s major revenue resource. From a market standpoint, it doesn’t matter how many people there are in China, any more than it matters to a fisherman how many fish there are in the sea. The only fish that count are the ones in his net. The only consumers that count are the ones with the means to buy products. That means is relentlessly melting away like a South American glacier. The middle class of the developed world is the rain forest of the world economy, and it is being clear cut at an alarming rate. The current dilemma of young people just not able to make a living in the US is the pall of smoke on the horizon, the stark silent muddy scar left after the trees are all gone. The problem is the scientists who study the economy are not singing out warnings like their environmentalist counterparts. There is no Paris accord to protect the world’s middle class. The Sierra Club takes no interest in the habitat of the very species they relentlessly hit up for resources. It is time for our leadership to put down the chainsaws and adopt responsible protective trade policies while the canopy remains. Strange things happen when a species struggles for survival in an exploited and dwindling habitat. Mountain lions attack bicyclists in relentlessly increasing numbers. Polar Bears mate with Grizzly Bears. Donald Trump becomes the overwhelming Republican candidate for president... Again. I Wonder what that hybrid Polar/Grizzly Bear creature is really like. I would imagine it is kind of pissed off.

Here at Humber, you don't get us. I traveled 10,994 km to study and get the specialization I wanted to study to elevate my career, but you guys cut off my specialization without any formal notification. And when I went to change my course on the last date of changing course, you moved the date two days earlier without any notification. I would have believed you six years ago, but now I don't.
